How do I know my information is secure? Who has access to it? The AGT system completely safe as it is encrypted with the same SSL technology used by banks for online banking. The only way a dealer’s data could be accessed is with a search warrant.

What happens when my internet service goes down? How can I access my information if it is not a program installed on my computer?  The AGT program can be accessed through any web browser on all pda devices and smart phones. Handwritten invoices can be entered with the correct past date of sale once the internet is functioning. In addition, the bound book is emailed nightly in an excel spreadsheet that can be printed out.

Wouldn’t it be better to have all of my customer and inventory information stored on my personal machine? Purchasing software to install onto a machine is expensive and requires constant updates. In addition, all data is stored on that physical machine until it is backed up, leaving a dealer vulnerable to system crashes and theft. With AGT you will never loose any of your information. Ever.

How do I have access to my information if I want a hard copy? The daily bound book is emailed to a dealer nightly. This is emailed in an excel document that can be saved and printed. In addition, a dealer can request specific reports and information at any time from AGT..

How difficult is it to use? AGT is simple and intuitive. Information needs to be entered only once per item through the appropriate transactions.

Can I scan my items?  The UPC and serial number of the firearm can be scanned with a handheld scanner from the shipping container.

Is there anything I can do to make entering my initial inventory easier? How much data entry do I have to do? Existing inventory will need to be entered initially. If a dealer places an order with Accusport, AGT has a strategic partnership that allows any shipment to upload automatically into their inventory with one-click - no manual data entry. In addition, once a UPC has been entered, each additional item of the same UPC can be added with just the new serial numbers.

Why would I choose AGT without a POS system. AGT is the only online Bound Book which frees a dealer to manage the dynamic parts of his business without being bogged down with manual paperwork associated with compliance.

I am worried that my technology wary customers will not fill in the 4473 online.  Although this will be the exception, it is best to have paper 4473 forms available for your customer in that situation. In addition, the online version of the 4473 still needs to be printed out for signatures.

Does AGT replace Quickbooks or other accounting software programs? AGT allows the user to run reports based on simple accounting principles such as sales, profit, customer activity, sales trends etc. Files can be exported in Excel to be used with outside accounting software.
